Robert Burns was born in the year 1759 on January 25. He is a well known lyricist and a poet. Due to his superb works he is regarded as the national poet of Scotland. Also he is one of the very few poets who have written poems in the Scottish language. Some of the famous poems of the poet include a red rose, the battle of Sherramiur and ‘to a mouse’. He has received many awards for his contribution to the same. He is also regarded as a cultural icon for many poets around the world. his work is still appreciated by many around the world.
